The Role

No two days are the same for our major project sales people and experiences differ from opportunity to opportunity. Predominantly working in London & the South East, you’ll work on iconic developments, collaborate with SSE’ smart cities teams and develop client relationships with new and existing construction partners.

You’ll have the back-up of our expert design and estimating support team, great references and testimonials from past and current projects. You’ll be working for one of the largest BMS businesses in the market, with strong manufacturer relationships and support. You’ll be working alongside a team with a winning mentality and determination to succeed which will help you achieve our shared goals.

You’ll enjoy proactively identifying and contacting new clients, cultivating and managing long-term relationships to ensure success. This will involve understanding their business, operational and environmental objectives. Utilising your industry experience in BMS / energy management you’ll be able to share your knowledge and expertise with the client to ensure you’re able to match the sales solution to their operational requirement.

Managing multiple, ongoing projects you’ll focus on selling new construction projects into the major project market place and retrofits differentiating SSE services and products from competitors based on business benefit.

Your Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you’ll be educated to a minimum of HNC in an engineering/business related discipline and have previous Building Management Systems experience, ideally dealing with major projects direct with developers and main contractors. With a determination to grow our business you’ll enjoy proactively contacting new clients and be comfortable presenting them with solutions to their BMS requirements. You will be target and deadline driven due to the nature of the project environment you will be working in.

You’ll be able to demonstrate a good level of stakeholder engagement to meet your goals. You’ll have successfully undertaken CPD sessions with various parties and be adept at getting consultant engagement. You will have good strategic selling abilities and be able to track new business potential and opportunity. You’ll do this using your excellent relationship development skills. This will lead to good pipeline and funnel growth and you’ll understand/influence the buying centre make up and have a proven track record of selling into a Major Projects BMS arena using your finely honed technical and commercial skills.

As you will be traveling to different sites its essential that you hold a full driving licence.
