What is the role?

Working with sales, technical and commercial colleagues, this is an office based role working with customer enquiries to produce BMS proposals using building specification documentation, plans and technical enquiries to understand client needs.

There are 2 specific areas of focus for this role: managing sales enquiries and developing building control solutions to match customer budgets; although the requirements of the role demand a flexible approach and other tasks may be required to satisfy customer requirements, for example occasional client meetings, site surveys and attendance at networking events.

Managing multiple, ongoing opportunities, you’ll focus on selling new projects and retrofits differentiating SSE services and products from competitors based on business benefits and technical merit.

What do we need?

Excellent communication skills are essential to maintain a collaborative working environment with all stakeholders including customer and external service providers.

It is expected you'll display a professional manner and a dedication to meeting customer expectations, including delivering technical support, coaching and direction. You'll be working in an ever-changing environment and as such will be adaptable and flexible.

Your Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will be educated to a minimum of HNC in an engineering related discipline and have previous HVAC Building Management Systems experience. With a determination to grow our business you will enjoy proactively contacting new clients and be comfortable presenting them with solutions to their BMS requirements. Due to the nature of the project environment you will be working in, you will enjoy working in a solutions, target and deadline driven environment.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be some of your key assets along with the ability to build, nurture and maintain strong relationships with your clients.

This is an office based job however some travelling may be required so it is essential that you hold a full driving licence.
