Salary: £Competitive depending on skills and experience

Permanent | Full Time Hours | 37 hours per week

Our Role

The Project Manager is responsible for business readiness ahead of deployment and ensuring a smooth transition from delivery into operation; including the management of multiple projects.  You’ll manage the daily activities of internal and contractor resource; project documentation, financial reporting, process management and escalation management to appropriate standards.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a key requirement for this role as you’ll be liaising with customers, Project Managers and other stakeholders to provide regular updates and reviews to deliver safely and to our customer’s expectations in a timely and effective manner.

You will provide coaching to deliver a best practice model integrating SSE values and ensuring safety, information security and project governance deliverables are met.

Your Skills and Experience

- An accomplished project manager with extensive experience in managing projects within the Telecommunications/IT industry.

- You’ll bring strong relationship management skills including the ability to engage 3rd parties from contract through to delivery phase.  This is an autonomous role, you will be well organised, self-driven and resilient. 

- You’ll possess strong communication skills combined with a proven track record of coordinating and leading teams to ensure projects are delivered within time and budget.

- Experienced in the management of projects, deploying telecoms technologies including fibre optics, Voice, Video, Ethernet, Data & Transmission System

- Ability to drive engagement within a complex business across multiple teams with varying deliverables and business needs.

- Knowledge of the Construction Design and Management Regulations as well as running of a strong RAID process is advantageous.A Professional PM qualification such as; APMPQ, PRINCE II, AGILE is desirable.
