The Role
Leading the Renewable Operations Commercial Support admin team, you will manage all aspects relating to commercial financial processing for the Renewable Operations Business, ensuring we meet all of our obligations. Additionally, as team leader, you will be required to undertake the team Performance Management reviews in accordance with current SSE guidelines.  You’ll act as a direct liaison with suppliers, in particular large suppliers such as the  OEMs for all payment and invoicing queries. You’ll also be the main liaison with SSE Accounts Payable Team managers to ensure all processes are fit for purpose and are adhered to by both parties at all times.  In addition to this, the role will encompass the management, coordination and guidance of the budgetary process set by SSE Corporate Finance for the Business Services budgets.

Some of your other accountabilities will include;

*Manage, collate and process all payments, ensuring they are made in line with the relevant terms and conditions and adhere to the Prompt Payment Code.
*Work alongside the Commercial Support Manager to agree on required reporting for budget approval and forecasting for the financial year.
*Provide system guidance and support across the Renewable Operations business.
*Assist the Commercial Coordinators in ensuring financial data is managed effectively, is kept up to date and  in a clear and concise format.
*Manage, action, track and report on all requests for invoices and manual payments

Your Skills & Experience

*Knowledge of financial systems, management and reporting
*Proven success of managing teams.
*The ability to  identify and improve business processes.
*Excellent attention to detail
*Strong literacy and numeracy skills
*Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
*Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
* The ability to motivate and coordinate varying levels of staff within the business.
