Salary: circa €65,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus depending on skills and experience

SSE Airtricity Utility Solutions is part of the SSE Group and is a leading electrical specialist contractor in Ireland. Operating in a dynamic environment, we are currently involved in a range of projects throughout Ireland running a variety of commercial and term contracts and have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to work with our Commercial and Operations teams based from our Dublin office.
The Business Development Manager Ireland role is focused on developing the HV/MV/LV contracting business within the Republic of Ireland. Maximising HV/MV/LV opportunities across Ireland with large clients including the internal SSE Ireland business. Developing strong internal relationships with the regional operational teams and managing the internal sales process and authorisation procedures
Responsibilities will include but will not be restricted to:
-Comply with and actively embrace the SSE approach to health and safety guidelines
-Embrace and deliver on the SSE values, SSE Enterprise principles and SSE Enterprise Contracting ‘fit for future’ objectives
-Achieving Sales Targets and Other Deliverables
-Ensure that all administration and written documentation, bid input, technical proposals, etc. produced by oneself is of an excellent and professional standard
-Develop and demonstrate an understanding of the market conditions/technical developments and associated implications for the SSE AUS business within target markets and geographic region.
-Maintain knowledge of SSE AUS products, solutions and services, key competitor offerings, target market analysis and regional developments in terms of intelligence of activity.
-Accurate Weekly Forecasting of new business opportunities & pipeline management via CRM system i.e. Salesforce.
-Develop, Convert and Manage a pipeline of new business opportunities to support and assist the operational region
-Develop relationships throughout the client’s business to maintain customer focus and collaborative approach in delivery of client needs
-Develop strong internal relationships with the regional operational teams and manage the internal sales process and authorisation procedures
-Other tasks as required and commensurate with the role
Your Skills and Experience
-Proven track record of sales achievement with over 5years of experience within the contracting market
-Experienced new business hunter & account manager
-Have proven “closing” ability in converting large €0.5M complex solutions
-Possess strong commercial awareness and experience of sales forecasting, targeting and reporting
-Experience of selling into B-2-B Enterprise markets
-Demonstrate market knowledge in contracting and direct end user sectors
-Have experience in leading and responding to major RFQ, RFI and RFP bid responses
-Demonstrate an understanding of the Contracting market and Renewables sector
-Demonstrate an understanding of Energy Related Services
