Your Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Fitter to join our team based at our Kirkwall Power Station. This role will involve you carrying out routine maintenance, fault finding and repair of electrical equipment and instrumentation on the engines and associated auxiliary plant in the Station. You will undertake the duties of a “unit operator” when the station is requested to generate and to operate mobile generators if necessary. You’ll work alongside a great team of skilled individuals, and will be on hand to assist other craftspeople as and when required. In addition, you’ll become a nominated supervisor, allowing you to issue and receive work orders and isolate plant.
