Senior Bid Manager (Rail)

Location: London

Salary: Depending On Experience

Perm | 37 hours per week 

 

Our Role

 

In this role you’ll be leading our Rail Bid Team on one of our largest projects to date. This will see you building the strategy and leading the bid from initial qualification to successful acceptance by the client.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • To act as the single point of contact and communication for a bid and take ownership.
  • To qualify major bid opportunities, recommending bid and creating solutions.
  • Produce sales strategy, technical design, project management, commercial input and formal document production.
  • Develop and manage the interface with suppliers both internal and external for the purpose of producing winning bids.
  • To drive change and take a leading role on the transformation of the bid production  ensuring future success.

 

Your Skills and Experience

 

  • In excess of 7 years’ experience within a Senior Bid Management role working on major bids.
  • Excellent understanding of the M&E and/or Rail market and competitor positioning within this sector.
  • Have an excellent knowledge of industry best practise with respect to managing and delivering high quality tenders.
  • Delivered double digit improvement in Win Rates ensuring that the organisation meets its growth plans
  • Educated to degree level, or significant job experience. 
  • Proven track record at a senior level in a large corporate environment
  • Appreciation of the important technical or commercial background issues and to question the proposed design.
