Job Title: Apprenticeship Programme Co-ordinator

Location: Havant or Reading

Salary: £31,345 – £41,396 (SS6) depending on skills and experience

12-month Fixed Term Contract | Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available | 37 hours per week

Our Role

You’ll be responsible for the co-ordination and monitoring of academic and technical performance and progress of SSE apprentices. You’ll ensure that accurate data is maintained in relation to apprentice performance and progress and that through close communication with business and academic provider stakeholder contacts, achievement rates are maximised and quality levels are maintained. You’ll undertake planning activities in relation to technical training requirements, ensuring that the needs of the business area and learner are met. 

Working closely with the Apprentice and Trainee Engineer Programme Manager, you’ll ensure constant improvement and development of apprenticeship programmes at SSE, including further development of key areas such as safety, safeguarding and programme enhancement.

Your Skills and Experience

With strong communication and negotiation skills, you should have a detailed knowledge of Apprenticeship programmes in England and Scotland and an awareness of the funding in relation to them. You should also show an awareness of OFSTED and Skills Development Scotland inspection and assessment criteria.

You’ll have the ability to balance workloads and prioritise tasks and the confidence to challenge where appropriate. This is a demanding role in a dynamic and fast moving business, which requires tenacity and adaptability to meet changing business and academic needs.
