Job Title: Bid Content Manager

Location: Glasgow

Salary: £34,000 – £45,000

Permanent or Fixed Term Contract | 37 hours per week 


Our Role 

In this role you’ll be working within the Rail Bid Team creating high quality content in response to major strategic tenders. You’ll create and maintain content library, manage IT systems, co-ordinate bid communication with both internal and external stakeholders, control the quality of bid content and support smaller tenders in other areas of SSE.

You’ll also be required to understand the requirements of PQQ/Tenders and bring technical design and development teams to support the sales team on tenders. To do this you’ll align with both contracting sales and energy supply sales to develop and deliver a joined up approach to SSE’s proposition strategy.


Your Skills and Experience

Due to the nature of this role, you should have business knowledge of the rail industry, competitor positioning, current market developments and the evolving challenges these bring to SSE. Therefore knowledge of the current rail industry would be beneficial however bid management experience in other sectors will be considered for this position.

With this in mind you’ll have experience of working on major bids, updating bid content libraries and managing a bid from conception to completion. You’ll also have very strong communication skills, with a particular flair with the written English language and the ability to articulate and communicate the team’s activities and requirements to others across the business in order to successfully cajole information from senior colleagues
