With workload increasing due to a number of on-going and forthcoming projects, we are currently looking to recruit an experienced Electrician to join our team. The role will be based in Chichester and would provide electrical statutory maintenance compliance for planned and reactive works to all West Sussex County Council properties under the WSCC contract, covering Crawley - East Grinstead - Haywards Heath area

In this role you will carry out electrical servicing and maintenance work without immediate supervision in a safe, efficient and economical manner. Electrical maintenance work includes but is not limited to fire alarms, lighting systems, emergency lighting and electrical power distribution systems. You will work under direction from an electrical engineer/supervisor but will be required to liaise with clients and sub contractors and suppliers as required.

 You must be able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of Electrical systems operating principals and ensure compliance with the current edition of BS7671. To be considered for this role you will need to have completed your Electrical Apprenticeship and will have achieved an NVQ Level 3 (or approved equivalent) in installation and/or servicing/maintenance work or will have obtained a pass in the City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1 and 2 or 2351 or 2330 levels 2 and 3 (or approved equivalent). In addition you will have a thorough working knowledge of Industry Codes of Practice, relevant British Standards and Construction Industry Safety Regulations and also have obtained City & Guilds 2394/5 or equivalent.
