Location: Havant

Salary: £44195 - £58371 depending on skills and experience

Permanent | Full Time Hours

Our Role

As Business Intelligence (BI) developer within our Data & Analytics department, you’ll need to work closely with business stakeholders to identify requirements. You will attend workshops, develop and maintain ETL packages, and design, build and document Star Schema Data Marts/Data Models. In addition, you’ll create reports and dashboards ensuring solutions follow best practice models, and ensure service performance and strategy are maintained.

Your Skills and Experience

Ideally, you’ll have extensive experience of all stages of the Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) for data/analytic solutions. You’ll need to have a flexible approach to your work, with demonstrable experience of delivering BI/Data Warehouse solutions. Knowledge of the energy industry is desirable but not essential.

Our current technology portfolio includes IBM Data Manager, Framework manager, SQL Server 2015, SSIS, Cognos 10.1/10.2, Metric Studio, Go Dashboard, Go Office, Noetix, and Oracle E-Business Suite. Whilst strong working knowledge of these applications is highly preferable, you might instead have extensive experience of building BI solutions using alternative applications.

As well as your excellent technical ability, you’ll need to be a strong team player with ability to build close working relationships with both internal and external parties. You must be willing and able to share your knowledge and guide junior members of the team. You’ll be confident in setting and meeting personal goals, and taking responsibility for your own deliverables, as well as managing others when acting as lead developer.
