Job Title: Project Manager
Salary: £34,123 - £45,066 depending on skills and experience + car/cash allowance
12 Month Fixed Term Contract | Full Time Hours | 37 hours per week
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team, looking after a wide range of projects across the business. You’ll lead and manager your team, supporting and cultivating an effective workflow surrounding project design, project management, finance and budgets and Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulation adherence. You’ll utilise your expertise to ensure engineering projects from LV to 33kV are designed on time and to budget to meet the requirements of the annual business plan, all whilst maintaining the highest levels of safety awareness. Each of your projects should be CDM compliant, and you’ll work with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure this happens on each projects.
Your role will cover all aspects of design, liaison, procurement and project management of the Capital Delivery Programme. Due to the nature of the projects in our business, you’ll liaise between the various business areas to determine the project scope and requirements before agreeing the key deliverables and a project specific design. This role has a wide scope of responsibilities, and allows you a great opportunity to learn about our business and deliver an interesting range of work to our customers and stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you’ll have excellent project management experience, ideally within our industry. You should also have detailed knowledge and experience with LV and HV construction design up to 33kV and a sound knowledge of DNO system operations and regulation. As you’ll be involved at each stage of the project lifecycle, you should have financial management experience, with key skills in budgetary management and risk mitigation. In addition, you’ll have an in depth knowledge of CDM regulation, allowing you assist with the organisation, management and implementation of the network designs and ensure a close liaison with multiple contractors and delivery teams.
You’ll be a highly organised individual, with outstanding communication skills; you’ll also be great at relaying complex messages in an easy to understand manner.
