£30,432 - £40,190 (SSE Salary Range 06)

Our aim is to help customers manage their energy usage and to support the UK's drive to reduce carbon emissions.

You’ll implement strategy and maximise business performance through effective direction and coaching. You’ll lead a field team ensuring our smart metering programme progresses to business as usual. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring staff safety and will also plan and provide the most cost effective utilisation of resources. Furthermore, you will have full responsibility in terms of KPI targets, financial contribution and safety, and for overseeing the delivery of all metering services within your geographic area.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience of managing a team combined with a good level of relevant technical knowledge and understanding of MOCOPA and Gas Safe authorisations. You should understand industry compliance as well as metering key issues and smart metering functions. Your attention to safe working and risk will be exemplary.

You should be adept at managing people, coaching and mentoring, and you should be confident communicating at all levels. You should have good computer skills and an ability to both organise and chair meetings. In addition, you should have the ability to investigate and write reports as well as having experience of behavioural and work related audits.

A current full UK driving licence is required (with no more than 3 points) as you will work across your entire region, and as an ambassador of SSE, providing the best customer service will be key to your success. Company transport is provided.

As part of this role you will be required to work 5 days from 7, including evenings and some weekends, and may also be required to participate in a standby rota providing emergency cover.
