This role forms park of the SSE IT Business Energy team. SSE Business Energy supplies over 500,000 customer accounts, across a broad and diverse client base, from micro businesses to large national corporates, providing a unique service to each business with a commitment to keeping our clients’ interests at heart and helping to control energy costs.

In this Lead PM role you will have a combined responsibility: the delivery of specific, complex projects at varying stages of maturity, potentially spanning a number of different portfolios including those resourced by external suppliers, together with the management and development of multiple Project Managers. As a talented leader, demonstrating significant leadership experience in a similar role, you will have the ability to effectively matrix manage large teams across multiple sites and create a sense of teamwork. You will be able to use your considerable skills to positively influence resources with a line-reporting relationship, with staff motivation and development a priority as you improve and evolve our PM capability.

Qualified to practitioner level (Prince II, PMP or equivalent), with a PM background, delivering multiple engagements with a value in excess of £1m, you will have exceptional experience in managing programmes or multiple projects with a simultaneous execution period. Your knowledge of TGF (or similar) is essential, as is your experience of regulatory environments and your understanding of the Utilities industry.

Excellent stakeholder management will enable you to effectively engage with stakeholders, both within and impacted by the programme/projects, as well as acting as a conduit to IT and business management, executive sponsors and external parties. Your previous work background will also have prepared you to work with Procurement and Commercial to define and manage contractual relationships with 3rd party providers.
