We operate in a regulated market and our Industry Codes team in the Regulation department works in partnership with SSE's Retail business to influence and deliver a regulatory and industry code framework that enhances value, reduces risk and aligns with SSE's strategy. Due to internal staff movement we now have an opportunity for an Analyst to join the retail energy arm of the team, supporting our Industry Codes Leads and reporting to the team’s Regulation Manager.

It’s vital that you have good written communication skills, with the ability to summarise technical/complex documents for a non technical audiences along with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with individuals across the business and externally. The skill to prioritise, and deliver quality to work to challenging deadlines will be a key element we want to see from the successful candidate. Things can change rapidly in the utilities market so someone who is change oriented and has a positive, flexible approach towards the implementation of new initiatives is essential. With teamwork as one of our core values we are looking for an individual who thrives in an environment where collaborative working and sharing best practice is the norm.

Previous work experience in either utilities or in regulation would be a benefit but is not essential.

We can offer a benefits package which includes an excellent pension scheme, share save and share incentive schemes, generous leave entitlement (with an option to purchase additional leave) plus a host of other lifestyle benefits.

Closing date for applications is 27th October 2017

The successful candidate will be subject to the Company's verification and vetting process. This includes a basic criminal records check.
