We have an opportunity for a Chemistry and Environmental Engineer to join the team based at Keady Power Station.

You will be responsible for managing the plant chemistry and assisting with environmental management, to ensure we meet all requirements relating to Health, Safety, Environment, availability, flexibility, efficiency, cost and asset life.

Contributing towards planning requirements you will identify and forecast budget requirements for laboratory, bulk chemical, plant and safety monitoring equipment, with the target of reducing consumable costs without compromising safety or performance

Working with the project engineers you will provide support in relation to safety, health, environment and chemistry related project work.

To be successful in this role you will be educated to degree level, or equivalent, in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline coupled with practical experience in a similar role and relevant laboratory experience. Due to your experience you will have the ability to understand and interpret technical and scientific information.

You will have great communication, planning and organising skills, be methodical in your approach with a keen eye for detail.

There may be the opportunity to offer flexible working patterns including later/earlier finish times.
