Tree Cutting Climber

Salary: £21,282 to £25,882 depending on skills and experience

To ensure the networks continue to run effectively, we are looking to recruit a Tree Cutting Climber into our existing team based in Elgin and providing services across Moray and Aberdeenshire.  Working as part of a team you will be responsible for clearing vegetation from our overhead network. Depending on authorisations you will be required to carry out tasks in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with our procedures.

To be successful you will have a sound knowledge and understanding of the HV and LV overhead network and have previous experience of climbing. You will hold NPTC CS39 (Using a chainsaw from a rope and harness) and UA2.2 qualifications or equivalent, as well as a recognised arboriculture qualification.

This role can be demanding as you will be involved in all aspects of electricity overhead line work which involves working outdoors in all weather conditions. You will also be required to travel at short notice for fault restoration work therefore flexibility is a must.  As a result of this, a full driving licence is essential.

We offer attractive rates of pay for suitable and experienced candidates and the normal working week is 45 hours over five days, Monday to Friday.
