SSE Enterprise Rail is a specialist business that works solely on railway estates for Train Operating Companies and Network Rail. It currently maintains over 1000 buildings nationwide.

Due to expansion of our Rail business, we have an exciting opportunity for a number of Approved Electricians to join our projects team based in Nottingham.

We are seeking experienced Approved Electricians who can carry out electrical Installation and Maintenance work throughout the UK in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the current Construction Industry Safety Regulations and SSE Policies and Procedures. You will demonstrate detailed knowledge of electrical systems operating principle and be responsible for commissioning and testing Electrical Systems and Equipment.

To be considered for this role you will need to have completed your Electrical Apprenticeship and will have achieved an NVQ Level 3 (or approved equivalent) in installation and/or servicing/maintenance work or will have obtained a pass in the City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 or 3531 or 2330 Levels 2, or approved equivalent NVQ level 3 in electrical Installation. In addition you will have a thorough working knowledge of Industry Codes of Practice, relevant British Standards and Construction Industry Safety Regulations and also have obtained City & Guilds 2394/5 or equivalent.

It is essential that applicants have a full, clean UK driving licence. Experience within the railway environment will be an advantage but is not essential as training can be provided.
