Covering a period of maternity leave, you will be responsible for implementing the growth strategy for the Commercial Metering businesses, focussing on building the organisational capability to support a sustainable, commercially focused business model. Identifying potential business development opportunities to maximise the sustainable growth of the organisation will also be a part of this role.

You should excel in writing reports, preparing business cases and strategy papers, preparing and presenting tenders. Your understanding of the operational challenges facing Smart, Metering and Smart Transformation will be impressive. An understanding of financial modelling is essential.

Furthermore, you should display an ability to work well under pressure. You should be influential and able to manage upwards to Directors, delivering critical information in a manner which provides context and insight. You'll demonstrate a willingness to make difficult decisions and show energy to drive the business forward, as well as a strong desire to make a highly positive contribution to the future of SSE.

As a valued member of our team, you'll enjoy an excellent benefits package, including pension scheme, share save and share incentive schemes, generous annual leave entitlement (with the opportunity to purchase additional leave), discounted energy, phone and broadband, plus a host of other lifestyle benefits.
