Metering Asset Management Process Improvement Team

Portsmouth, Thatcham or Reading

£30,500 - £46,000

We're busy installing meters for the Smart Metering Programme, which is one of the largest projects ever undertaken in the UK. Our team is responsible for improving the asset management, supply chain and logistics capabilities to ensure meters and components are available to service operatives to use nationwide.

With a strong focus on the Facilities Master Plan and Facilities Development, you will define the future Metering office and depot infrastructure network, and then lead the delivery of changes across the UK. This will include working with sizing and cost models, contributing to the enhancement of the facilities development process, and developing quality facilities development standards.

To be successful you should have previous experience of facilities master planning and capacity and space / cost modelling. You should have a good working knowledge of processes, layouts analysis and design, and have a proven track record in managing projects. You'll be familiar with supporting the tender to contract process, and the subsequent management of contracts.  You should be able to develop content for facilities services and facilities development tenders.  Furthermore, it's likely you will have a background in supply chain or asset management, or project management in a process improvement environment.

With a relevant degree and a project management qualification, such as Prince 2, you should be well-organised, self-motivated and have a strong regard for the highest safety standards. You will

attend meetings and interact with stakeholders at all levels so you will need excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships. In addition, you should be comfortable working on your own and as part of a team. You should have the ability to deliver to tight time-scales and be prepared to go that 'extra mile' on occasions.

Our depots and offices span the length of the UK so you will be required to travel and work in different locations from time to time. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Benefits include pension scheme, share save and share incentive schemes, generous annual leave entitlement with the option to purchase additional leave, discounted energy, phone and broadband, plus a host of other lifestyle choices.

Closing date for applications is Monday 3 April 2017. If selected for interview, these will commence from Monday 10 April 2017.

The successful candidate may be subject to the Company's verification and vetting process which includes a basic criminal record check.
