Regional SME Sales Acquisition Manager – Dublin

Permanent, €43,000 - €47,000 plus excellent benefits and career opportunities

SSE Airtricity is seeking to appoint a SME Regional Acquisition Manager for Leinster, Midlands and Galway.

Approximately 70 – 80% of your time will be spent in the Leinster area.

Who we're looking for:

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, with a strong SME field sales and business development background, with particular experience in developing and managing a commission based sales team within a defined territory.

Main Purpose of Role: 

·  To develop and manage a commission based SME field sales acquisition channel and develop effective long term relationships with successful sales partners

·  Achieve SME electricity and gas sales acquisition targets on a personal and regional basis

·  Present and sell company products and services to potential customers

·  To set up and manage appropriate sales and on boarding processes that enable SME sales to be delivered in line with SSE's governance and compliance requirements

·  To represent and build brand presence in various SME representative bodies, seminars, trade shows and networking events within the region

·  To identify and develop other sales channels for the region

·  Prepare a regional business plan and schedule to identify specific targets

·  To investigate, propose and implement innovative sales products and channels

·  To identify up selling and cross selling opportunities for SSE Airtricity products

·  To manage sales acquisitions and retentions within budget and influence future investment in sales channels

·  To report on territory performance

·  Work with various SSE Airtricity teams to support the effectiveness of your sales territory eg Analytics team

·  Tasks as directed by line management

 Skills and experience:

·  A proven track record in developing and managing successful SME sales channels, including experience of successfully operating in a cold calling environment

·  Confident, organised & professional, with strong commercial  acumen

·  Strong communication & interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain business relationships

·  Capability to deliver processes and procedures to efficiently manage and support the various sales channels

·  Project management and delivery success

·  Highly numerate, with ability to create, manipulate and present financial information in a sales environment, often to tight deadlines

·  Demonstrate the ability to use MS office products,

·  A sound education up to tertiary level. While the actual; discipline is not important, the person needs to be numerate, agile & commercially focused

·  Have the ability to persuade and influence new customers

·  Demonstrate the ability to work independently, with initiative, delivering against sales targets.

·  Have the ability to create, compose and edit written materials, appropriate to the role

·  Ability to learn and develop a working knowledge and skill base covering the electricity and gas industries, appropriate to deal confidently and comfortably with normal customer queries

·  Attention to detail

·  Be a highly committed, driven,  dedicated and assertive individual

·  Access to a car

·  Hold a valid driving license, as the role will require travel to sales partners and/or customers

·  Willingness to work a flexible schedule including occasional overnight travel
