MARKET SERVICES ANALYST – BUSINESS ENERGY

DUBLIN

SALARY CIRCA €50,000 (DEPENDING ON SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE)

The Role

At SSE Airtricity, we have a new exciting opportunity for an Analyst to join the Market Services team in Dublin. SSE Airtricity Market Services manages almost 1,300MWs or renewable energy generation. The team are focused on expanding this portfolio while ensuring we efficiently manage the portfolio while we enter the new ISEM market. The key purpose of the role is to develop and support third party renewable contracting growth including PPAs and Corporate PPAs. You will be working with large energy users to develop bespoke green energy supply structures. You will also be responsible for development of non-core energy propositions for Business Energy customers. You will be managing specific Business Energy corporate clients and in regard to their annual electricity consumption declaration process. Preparation of reports, presentations and recommendations on the basis of market analysis and research, particularly in relation to new business opportunities will also be important in the role. Finally we will be looking for you to keep up to date with the latest Regulatory and policy developments in relation to ISEM, DS3 and future renewable support schemes in Ireland, which will inform commercial decisions going forward across the business.

The Person

To be successful in this role you should be educated to degree level of equivalent in a Business, Statistics, Maths or Finance discipline and have advanced skills in Excel/MS Office.

You should have experience in SEM coupled with a strong technical understanding of all commercial aspects of the Irish electricity market.

You must have a proven track record of contract negotiation and drafting together with the ability to prepare and understand detailed contractual documentation.

Displaying the ability to work on a practical level, you manage and prioritise your workload effectively and show energy, drive, professionalism and commitment. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are essential, as are excellent communication skills with a high attention to detail. You will be self-motivated, engaging and willing to take responsibility when required. Versatility and the ability to manage a varied and changeable work load are essential within this dynamic team.
